Managing DVM/ Local Owner

Dr. Alexandra Knoepfli

Dr. Alexandra Knoepfli grew up in Burlington, Ontario, and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2001. She was first introduced to Prescott Animal Hospital as an externship student and returned after graduation as a full-time small animal and equine veterinarian. Over the years, her dedication to exceptional patient care and strong client relationships has helped shape PAH, and she is now a local owner of the practice.

Dr. Alex enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with special interests in reproduction, behaviour, preventative medicine, complementary therapies, and orthopedic surgery. Committed to lifelong learning, she has expanded her training in orthopedic procedures, including TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery. Her commitment to professional development helps ensure PAH continues to provide progressive veterinary medicine while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Known for her outgoing personality and love of conversation, Dr. Alex has a natural ability to make both clients and patients feel comfortable. She values the long-lasting relationships she has built with generations of clients and is passionate about helping pets live long, healthy lives through every stage of life.

Outside of work, Dr. Alex lives locally on her hobby farm with her husband, John, and their three children. Their family includes three dogs—Angus, a Golden Retriever, Jersey, a Miniature Schnauzer, and Dijon, a Dachshund—along with several horses and cats. Golden Retrievers hold a particularly special place in her heart.

Dr. Alex’s passion for veterinary medicine, dedication to her clients, commitment to ongoing education, and leadership in maintaining PAH’s progressive approach to care continue to make her an integral part of the Prescott Animal Hospital family.
