Entrapped Epiglottis - Video 3 - play video
This is a short video. Initial view of epiglottis is rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise. The entrapped epiglottis caused by the excessive aryepiglottic folds.

Entrapped Epiglottis - Video 2 - play video
This is a short video. Initial view is rotated 90 degrees couterclockwise. This video is a close up of the entrapped epiglottis - the excess aryepiglottic folds envelop the epiglottis that can be observed in the central area. The diagnosis: wide, thickened, and non-ulcerated entrapped epiglottis. Unable to tell from this image alone whether this condition is persitent or transient. Most cases (97%) are persistent, wide, and thickened, with fewer cases (45%) being ulcerated.

Released Epiglottis - Video 4 - play video
This is a very long video. Again, the view starts of rotated. This video demonstrates the released epiglottis. Note the fine blood vessels located on the surface of the epiglottis and the scallopped edges in comparison to when it was entrapped (can't see blood vessels and edges of entrapped epiglottis are smooth). Ideally the epiglottis would be slightly longer and more symmetrical with the tip being more straight rather than curled as shown in this video. The tip of the epiglottis is a little inflammed but not ulcerated or granulomatous.
